Flow & Sizing

The 1,200 GPM rating is a nominal housing flow rate based on water at approximately 1 PSI clean-housing pressure drop. Actual system flow and pressure drop depend on inlet/outlet size, fluid viscosity, filter bag media, micron rating, and expected contaminant loading.

Rosedale notes that housing pressure drop is primarily governed by the inlet and outlet connection size rather than the vessel itself. Fluid viscosity, filter media, and dirt loading should therefore be considered when sizing the housing for a specific process.

Filter Bag & Basket Configuration

The Model 36 is configured for 12 standard Size #2 filter bags, each supported by an individual 30" deep perforated basket. Standard filter-bag baskets use 9/64" diameter perforations with approximately 51% open area, providing strong bag support while maintaining high flow through the vessel.
